Downtown is an independent initiative committed to the development of a vibrant, dynamic, modern metropolitan Liverpool.

We

• Help to change current perceptions about what the city centre does, how it can work and what it can provide
• More effectively market Downtown and its special atributes
• Offer a strategic view of existing work, explore its potential - set it in a downtown context
• Lobby for the appropriate development goals and strategic priority for downtown Liverpool; actively pursuing an urban future
• Act as the leading online downtown forum and think tank
• Provide an independent voice and platform for those with an interest in downtown affairs, raising issues, exploring new ideas and possibilities

• Celebrate and promote Downtown creativity, culture, enterprise and complexity
• Highlight ways to actively re-engage the residents of the city in the growth of the city centre and reconnect downtown with its surrounding districts, city and city-region

Our inspiration is taken from the World's most exciting cities as well as the unique potential present in Liverpool right now.

We want to see more business, more people, more development downtown as this makes for a more vibrant city...with more opportunities for more business, more people and more development, so for us the more the better!
