Twin stories
of at 27 and 16 stories now taking shape on Chapel Street in the heart
of downtown.

Unity/Sentinel: artists' visualisation
Designed by Liverpool-born architect Paul Monaghan of AHMM the name
is inspired by Le Corbusier's seminal building Unité d'Habitation.
Occupying the site of the former Rumford place, a drab and squat office
block and remnant of the Shankland plan, the new twin towers will create
a dramatic point of entry to the central business district from the
river and we hope will set new standards in a commercial market which
is desparately short of Grade A office space.

The
Downtown Organisation supports intensification of development, design
innovation, tall buildings and mixed-use schema as these in general
make a positive contribution to the
establishment of a city-scape both for the establishment of a 21st century
city and for the tradition of metropolitan-scale development in Liverpool.
