As of 2016, it was the eighth most valuable football club, where it was estimated to be worth $1.55 billion. Liverpool Football Club (LFC) is owned by the Fenway Sports Group, and is currently managed by Jürgen Klopp, a former German professional player.
The Early Years
For the past 124 years, LFC has been based in Anfield, Liverpool. The current stadium is the sixth largest in England for football, with a maximum number of 54 074 seated occupants. The original pitch was opened in 1884, and saw various forms of renovations at every change of ownership.
